Sunday Worship
Morning 10.30a.m.
We are a relaxed congregation, using mainly contemporary Christian music led by a band of mixed instruments; some older hymns are used. We seek to be participative where possible, but no-one needs feel obliged to be involved beyond their personal comfort zone. We are committed to a balance of Word and Spirit, which is reflected in our worship: preaching of the Word of God, and ministry of the Holy Spirit always being available. All charismatic gifts are recognised and valued, though not all are regularly exercised in public worship
Evening 6.00p.m.
We have a prayer meeting during which we pray for our local community.
Junior Church
Sunday Mornings
Junior Church (3-12 years) operates on Sunday mornings in parallel with our morning worship. All ages begin together at 10.30 a.m. and children leave for their own activities part way through. Junior church operates across the ages rather than in age-group classes, and seeks to give the children a whole church experience suitable to their own level.
A creche is available for babies and children up to 3 years.
We also have carpeted areas at the back of the church to accommodate parents and carers of toddlers and also children with special needs.
Contact the Church Office on 01493 603302.
Young People
Sunday Mornings
A youth cell operates (similar to adult cell) on Sunday mornings. Like the Junior Church, it leaves the service part way through. Part of its aim is to help integrate young people into church, so it only meets twice a month.
GBC support's Unite's Rock Solid Youth Club for 11 -14 year olds on Friday evenings at St Mary Magdalene, Magdalen Way Methodist and St Andrew's churches in Gorleston.

Contact 2000
Operates Mondays and Thursdays 11.30am to 4.30pm
What is Contact 2000? Contact 2000 is a Drop-In Centre which, whilst open to men and women from all walks of life, is primarily geared to serving the needs of those affected by addictions, mental health or homelessness.
Opened in the year 2000 (hence the name), the work focuses on both the physical and emotional needs of those who attend. Visitors can have a decent meal during the course of the session. Maintaining good personal hygiene is difficult for those forced to sleep rough. The Drop-In is able to provide for the sanitary needs of our friends. A small amount of donated clothes and tins are kept on site for those in need.
Most of the work undertaken is staffed by volunteers who are encouraged to get alongside visitors to provide a listening ear and support, as well as providing the practical assistance required to run the centre. We are essentially focused on serving the needs of the poor, the isolated and the vulnerable, but this is expressed in a number of different ways.
The Drop-In Centre is open on Mondays and Thursdays and on Tuesdays (11.30am to 2.30pm) at our sister drop in, ‘The Bridge’ at St Mary Magdalene Church. We aim to provide a safe, friendly, Christian family atmosphere in which visitors have the opportunity to share their burdens with team members and receive whatever ministry / assistance we can provide. We have many opportunities to share our faith and, when possible, have run alpha and Y courses. We are always available to pray with our visitors.
Practical help offered includes; assistance with form-filling, negotiating with local authorities, attending Court, writing references, hospital or prison visiting, decorating and house tidying, buying furniture, debt relief – the list is endless.
Over the years a great many individuals and numerous organisations have supported us and to them we offer our immense gratitude.

There is provision for counselling, advice and respite, as well as volunteers to look after the cared-for. We work with Social Services and the Norfolk Carers.
We have good facilities for the disabled, and priority use of the internet and computers.
