Sunday Worship

Morning: 10.30 a.m.

GBC

We are a relaxed congregation, using mainly contemporary Christian music led by a band of mixed instruments; some older hymns are used.

We seek to be participative where possible, but no-one needs feel obliged to be involved beyond their personal comfort zone.

We are committed to a balance of Word and Spirit, which is reflected in our worship: preaching of the Word of God, and ministry of the Holy Spirit always being available. All charismatic gifts are recognised and valued, though not all are regularly exercised in public worship.

Evening: 6.00 p.m.

We have a prayer meeting during which we pray for our local community.

Prayer

We believe that prayer is a vital part of Fellowship life, and that all activities need to be immersed in prayer.

We encourage prayer in small groups and in informal partnerships (e.g. triplets).

Sunday evenings at 6.00 p.m. focus on the community.

Junior Church

Children

Junior Church (3-12 years) operates on Sunday mornings in parallel with our morning worship. All ages begin together at 10.30 a.m. and children leave for their own activities part way through. Junior church operates across the ages rather than in age-group classes, and seeks to give the children a whole church experience suitable to their own level.

A creche is available for babies and children up to 3 years.

We also have carpeted areas at the back of the church to accommodate parents and carers of toddlers and also children with special needs.

Young People

A youth cell operates (similar to adult cell) on Sunday mornings. Like the Junior Church, it leaves the service part way through. Part of its aim is to help integrate young people into church, so it only meets twice a month.

We are awaiting the start of UNITE's SOLID on Monday evenings.

Cells

Several cells (small groups) meet during the week. Details can be found on our cells page

Personal Christian Growth

We have a number of resources available to help everyone in the church to grow in their Christian faith, and for those coming to find out what it is all about for the first time. More details can be found on our Personal Christian Growth pages.

Alpha

We have regularly run Alpha courses, and arrange them as need arises. These are designed for people who want to explore what the Christian faith is about.

"Y"

We use an adaptation of "Y", which does a similar job to Alpha, but with a different flavour.

One-to-One

This is a course for new Christians to grow in understanding of their faith.

Pegs & Holes

A gift discovery programme, helping Christians understand spiritual gifts, and discovering what gifts they have.

Live by the Spirit

A course for more mature believers to grow in their understanding and reception of the Holy Spirit.

Contact 2000

What is Contact 2000? Operates Mondays and Thursdays 11.30am-4.30pm. (subject to availability).

We are a drop-in support centre providing a range of services for people on their own, disabled and their carers and vulnerable people. There is no need for a referral or to commit to attending at specific times. We encourage people to just pop in when they want to and stay as long as they like. Volunteers from the church are here to support.

Why are we here? It is our aim to offer to help with the resources we have available. We provide support to people in need of social contact and to give carers a break. This could range from seeking information and advice to just wanting someone to talk to, or new activities to try. Sometimes we have speakers or organised trips. We work in partnership with the local community.

Tasters There are free courses available from local colleges for many things, such as First Aid to confidence Building.

There is provision for counselling, advice and respite, as well as volunteers to look after the cared-for. We work with Social Services and the Norfolk Carers.
