Whether you are booking your holidays or buying a present for yourself or someone special, please consider doing so through easyfundraising.org.uk - virtually all the main shops and suppliers can be reached through that site and it can bring a substantial return for the church at no additional expense to yourselves.
We have received a cheque for £19.57 to cover the period July - Sept but have already exceeded that total this month alone as one of our members renewed her home and car insurances and secured a donation of £33 for the church. Why don't you follow her lead when dealing with your next insurance covers?
Our running total of money raised since we started now stands at
£251
Please keep it up!!

Street Pastorate
Stephen Jones is now coordinating the Great Yarmouth Street Pastors but, due to limited numbers at the present time, they are only able to perform their important duties for a maximum of once or twice a month. They will be operating from Park Baptist Church, Crown Road, Great Yarmouth and have, of course, the full support of the Great Yarmouth Police.
They really are in need of more
people willing to join them (both Prayer Pastors and Street Pastors) and full
training will be provided with the next round of training starting early next
year. So, come on!!
New Street Pastor Training
A Street Pastor is a church member with a concern for society, (particularly the binge drinking culture amongst young people) by engaging with people wherever they are in terms of thinking and location. Street Pastors do not preach the Gospel, but aim to be the Gospel through their actions but stand ready to always give an answer in gentleness and respect to all who ask of the reason for the hope within them. (1 Peter 3:15).
We also have a team of Prayer Pastors who remain at base whilst the Street Pastors patrol the streets. The Prayer Pastors are in regular contact with the Street Pastors and will provide intercessory prayer into every situation as well as cover the Street Pastors in prayer.
If you feel called to be a Street or Prayer Pastor in Great Yarmouth and would like to know more information and/or explore this then contact Steve Jones on 07894 864634 / steve@headweb.net for more information.
