Alpha

The Alpha course is not running at present.

"Y"

We use an adaptation of "Y", which does a similar job to Alpha, but with a different flavour, which is more suitable in some circumstances. It can move at a slower pace than Alpha if required, and is somewhat more flexible for one-to-one or small groups. "Y" reduces the amount of paper and reading, and works interactively with use of symbols where possible.

One-to-One

This is a course for new Christians to grow in understanding of their faith. A Church Member goes through the course with a newer Christian, meeting on a mutually convenient basis. It is a modular course and is very flexible. A version of it can be found in the Exploration Zone for those who would like to follow it through as a self-directed course. We do strongly recommend, however, being in personal touch with us, and being paired with a mentor.

A gift discovery programme, helping Christians understand spiritual gifts, and discovering what gifts they have.

During the programme participants think about what drives them, and where their God-given deepest interests lie. They then examine Spiritual Gifts to see what they are, how they are used for the benefit of all, and how they help us to achieve God's purposes. The way in which we personally prefer to operate is a third element of discovery.

The course is in six sessions, which is usually run as three evenings, two sessions per evening.

Live By The Spirit

A course for more mature believers to grow in their understanding and reception of the Holy Spirit. The way in which the Holy Spirit develops holiness in our lives, and how He enables us in worship are key elements in this experiential discovery of the work and life in the Holy Spirit.
